Common Questions + Answers

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR WOOD FROM?

A: I locally source all of my lumber from Wieber Lumber in Fowler, MI. It's not only convenient, but I am able to put money into another local small businesses. The quality is phenomenal and they beat the big box store prices! I have been working with Wieber Lumber for almost 2 years now and they are more like extended family to me! I get my laser-compatible wood from Ocooch Hardwoods in Viola, WI. Although I do not know this family personally, it is a small family owned business as well! The wood is top-notch for my laser needs!

WHAT KIND OF LASER DO YOU HAVE?

A: I have the Glowforge Pro. I use it primarily for cutting and engraving wood, but have bought some new materials to work with in 2022 as well!

WHY DON'T YOU DO WOODWORKING & SMALL BUSINESS FULL TIME?

A: Well, in the perfect world, that would be nice. I have a great full time job that I absolutely love with an amazing financial institution. Also, on an honest note, it's not an option right now and the income alone from what I make just from the small business does not support my lifestyle. I will leave this one with-- maybe one day?!

DO YOU HAVE A STORE FRONT?

A: I do not. However, I do sign up for a handful of markets each year to set up my "pop up shop". Otherwise, items can be found in-store at a few locations currently in DeWitt and Saint Johns.

DO YOU DO DONATIONS?

A: I try my best to give back when I can. I have given multiple items for silent auctions and raffles when requested and if it fits the timeline. I also try to align my items with a way to give back if possible.
